Staying in high quality accommodation in and around Oxford, UK, you have 1:1 English lessons with a CELTA qualified English teacher for 3 to 5 hours per day (15 to 25 hours per week). Choose from the courses below:

Bedroom in a rented apartment, North Oxford

 

Courses are available for adults and juniors, all year round. Tell us when you would like to take your course and we will send you a list of available host teachers to choose from. We have hand-picked the best teachers and the best accommodation for you to choose from, so that you will have the best possible experience during your stay in the UK. When you decide which teacher you would like, we will finalise your booking and ask you to pay a small deposit to secure your course.

 

A typical day includes:
Mornings:
09.30 to 12.30 - 1:1 lesson with your teacher
Lessons include:
  • General English
  • pronunciation
  • listening
  • vocabulary
  • reading
  • idioms and useful phrases
  • grammar
  • speaking
  • writing

Afternoons:
14.00 to 16.00 - If you take afternoon lessons, you can ask your teacher to take you to Oxford to visit the university colleges, one of Oxford's fine museums or go on a driving tour of the Cotswolds, or you can choose to have a more formal lesson at home. The choice is yours and you can decide on the day!

A typical week - afternoons

Monday
Your teacher can take you on a tour of the Oxford University Colleges including a visit to St. Mary's Church Tower which gives you fantastic views of Oxford.
 
Tuesday
With your teacher you can visit Blenheim Palace house and gardens, taking in the Winston Churchill exhibition and afternoon tea on the water terrace.

Wednesday
After your teacher has chosen a traditional English pub for lunch you can take in the delights of the Cotswolds, stopping off at some beautiful English villages for photographs and afternoon tea!

Thursday
You and your teacher can explore the Pitt Rivers Museum, or visit Oxford University's Botanical Gardens or spend the afternoon punting on the river (weather permitting) or visit Rousham House and gardens built in 1635.
 
 
 
Friday
Your teacher can take you on a shopping trip to Bicester Village , followed by an evening ghost tour of Oxford and drinks in Oxford's oldest tavern in the evening. Don't be spooked!

Saturday
Excursion to London, Bath, Cambridge, Warwick, Stratford (subject to availability).
 
Sunday
Relax on your day off or do some more sightseeing! We can give you lots of ideas about how to make the most of your time here in the UK.
