preparing you for the ICAO Level 4 + English Proficiency Test
This course is for individual pilots and controllers and runs for 1, 2 ,3 or 4 weeks, depending on your current level. We can arrange accommodation with experienced and friendly host families in and around Oxford, or we can arrange hotels or bed and breakfast, depending on your preference and budget.
About the course
All our courses use specially designed course material, books, articles and listening exercises in preparation for the ICAO English Test. On your course you will learn how to:
- Pronounce new words
- Use new words in a sentence
- Describe photographs
- Listen to dialogues and report the content fluently and accurately
- Speak in the past, present and future
- Ask questions
- Form conditional sentences
- Give your opinion
- Speak about your aviation experiences
- Speak fluently
Location
All our courses take place in Woodstock, near Oxford (UK), which is a beautiful market town and home to the historic Blenheim Palace.
Host family
Your host family is conveniently situated within walking distance or a short bus ride away from your lessons.

Prices include 25 hours 1:1 tuition per week; ICAO English Test fee;all course materials and accommodation with a host family* with breakfast and dinner.
Prices exclude all travel expenses, lunch, social activities, extra trips, admission to events.
How many weeks do I need?
This is sometimes difficult to answer as it depends on your current level of English and your ability to remember new vocabulary and grammar.
Generally we recommend the following:
1 week for people who have a good level of English, have spent some time living and working in an English speaking country and need to do some practice before the exam
2 weeks for people who have a good level of English and need to learn more vocabulary and grammar structures
3 weeks for people who have an OK level of English but make some mistakes and need to revise and learn new vocabulary and grammar structures
4 weeks for people who have a basic level of English but make lots of mistakes and need to learn basic grammar structures and need to expand their vocabulary
