The course is based on the ICAO Document 9835: Manual on the Implementation of ICAO Language Proficiency
Requirements, and prepares pilots and controllers for the ICAO English Proficiency Tests.
The course details are below: 6 week Online Aviation English Course
- Lessons are between 08.00 and 18.00 GMT
- The course includes 24 x 45 minute lessons
- We plan a structured course of study for you to follow
- Each week we send you detailed instructions about what to study for that week
- You receive a personalised progress test after every 4 lessons
- The course runs over 4 6 8 or 10 weeks
- Aviation English course book is included
How does it work?
- We send you files to complete before each lesson. eg Fire on board
- During the lesson you will describe aviation photographs, answer questions, discuss aviation incidents and interact with your teacher
- Your teacher helps you to develop accurate and fluent answers
- During the lesson, your teacher sends you instant messages on Skype, relating to grammar mistakes, pronunciation mistakes, new vocabulary and better phrases, which can be printed as a personal record of each lesson
- Each lesson covers a different emergency situation such as Fire on board; Bird strikes; Security alerts; Health problems on board; Crago and deangerous goods etc
- After every 4 lessons, you receive a personalised progress test based on your mistakes and any new vocabulary and phrases from the lessons
- At the end of the course you receive a certificate and report, stating your personal achievements and your informal ICAO Level
